3rd Shift Thoughts

A picture on a friends blog, missmalu30.blogspot.com (aka: heart prints), pulls at my heart and mind each time I visit it. It is a portrait of their two boys, the elder holding the younger, and the younger has a look of complete safety and contentment in his brother's arms.

After the moments of thinking, I wonder if they were threatened with no more of mommy's cookies for a month if they didn't pose well for pictures, and how amazing cute that is, were over came the parallels of that single moment captured til the end of time with our entire lives and relationship with our "friend Who sticks closer than a brother" Saviour.

Back to the picture. We, as Christians, desperately need to get to or return to the point of such trust and contentment as is seen in this younger brother and just rest our heads, our lives on Jesus Christ. The same as the elder brother, Christ promises, I love you and "am with you always, even to the end of the age."
